Texas Radio is a short film set in 1971, following 4 outcasts from Texas as they follow their favourite band on a psychedelic trip across America.
Written, directed and produced by the Dazey Hills Company; a talent agency covering the New Forest and south coast the short film was in fact shot on crown land in the New Forest.
Company Director Abbie Hills contacted the Film:New Forest team last year seeking permission to shoot and was quickly referred to Forestry England (as landowners they are the governing body responsible for filming permits).
Fast forward twelve months and Texas Radio was released on YouTube on 17 August and had over 400 views within four days of premiering on the social media network. The original soundtrack can be viewed via Spotify
Abbie is also celebrating a successful win at the recent New Forest Film Festival Short Film awards scooping the 'Best New Forest Student' award for The Grumpy Director.
