Local family make the big screen in Daffodil

Local artist Gemma Wilks wrote and starred in the shot film Daffodil alongside her husband and daughter back in Spring 2017.

Gemma said “I wrote the film and we shot over 2 days with support from family and friends. We utilised locations mainly in the North of the New Forest, animals, musical talent and items at our disposal, kindly lent to us to help bring the story to life.

My daughter, Matilda, plays young Daffodil and my husband even helped out as an actor. It was a truly collaborative effort and I am very grateful for the support given”.

Daffodil is to be shown at approximately 120 venues across the UK by Moviola (https://www.moviola.org/whats-on/) alongside it’s main feature films showing throughout November 2018.
