How your home or business premises can feature on the big screen and generate income
How your home or business premises can feature on the big screen and generate income: Lyndhurst Community Centre on Wednesday 21 September 2022 at 6pm.
New Forest District Council’s Film:New Forest project is hosting this event where you can find out what it means for your New Forest residential or business premises to be used as a filming location.
Film and TV productions can spend up to £40,000 a day on local goods and services which includes fees to location providers. Film:New Forest works with national production companies to help them find the perfect filming location within the New Forest.
Film:New Forest receives a wide variety of filming enquiries and are always looking for new locations to add to our database – national location scouts are not only seeking landscapes and pretty villages; they also need industrial sites, derelict and semi-derelict buildings, working farms, quirky houses, private roads and other locations too numerous to mention.
Recent TV and film productions assisted by Film:New Forest to find their ideal filming location include Motorhoming with Merton and Webster, The Crown, This Morning, Countryfile and the RNLI to name a few.
This event is aimed at New Forest landowners and property owners (commercial or residential) who would be interested in exploring the opportunities that being a location for Film:New Forest can offer.
The event will provide information on how locations are promoted to national location scouts and what to expect when a film crew arrives.
Speakers at the event will include:
- New Forest District Council’s Film:New Forest on how the project can help both film and TV productions and location owners.
- A location manager who will detail the role of location scouts and what they look for.
- A representative from a New Forest filming location that features in many TV and film productions who will give an overview of what it is like having a film crew in your property.
This is a free to attend event, however you are required to pre-register your attendance via Eventbrite. To book, please click on the button below.
