How to be a great freelancer & Crew Networking Event 8 June

How to be a great freelancer & Crew Networking - join us for our first ever online Film:New Forest event alongside Creative England on Tuesday 8 June at 5pm.
Being a great freelancer is more than being great at working ‘in’ the work you do – you need to be great at working ‘on’ your freelancing. In this session you’ll learn from author of The Freelance Bible, Alison Grade, how to work ‘on’ your freelancing, and prepare yourself so you are best positioned to find the work you want to do. You’ll learn why freelancing is like dating, and how you can use this knowledge to be strategic when winning new clients.
This session will give you a framework which you can use to work ‘on’ your freelancing and build a successful and sustainable freelance career whilst teaching you how to build your successful freelance psyche by maintaining a balance of:
Skills – what skills and mindset does a freelancer need?
Finances – what do I really need to live on? How do I value myself?
Desires – how do I find and date clients to win business?

Plus we'll also hear about…
Film & TV crewing opportunities in the region (the who's', what's', where's', and how's')
The industry in a post-COVID world
The popularity of the South East as a filming location (outside of London)
…followed by the opportunity to network online with fellow attendees as well as the option to drop into the Creative England booth to speak to their National Crew & Facilities Manager for some CV/crewing advice.
As a perk… One lucky, random attendee shall also receive a FREE copy of Alison's book: The Freelance Bible - Everything You Need to Go Solo in Any Industry…
