Ashurst

Ashurst, Eling and Totton are on the outskirts of the New Forest.

Totton has a bustling town centre and benefits from four industrial estates and the areas behind the Calmore Industrial Estate by the River Test have been regenerated with lakes for boating, but their main use is for fishing and as a water supply resource.

There is also the Testwood Lakes Centre, with walks along the Test Way running from Totton to Inkpen Beacon in Berkshire, via Romsey in Hampshire.

Eling can be accessed by crossing the railway line which divides the original old village of Totton and the areas of Eling. Next to the Tide Mill can be seen wharfs where once ship building thrived but is now owned by timber merchants and light industry, while Eling Creek is a popular place for the mooring of private boats. The Anchor Inn, which stands on the wharf, is a popular stop off for those sailing in Southampton Water.

Ashurst benefits from being on the main trainline from London Waterloo. There is a large campsite within walking distance of the train station, which could possibly serve as a unit base out of season.

Longdown Activity Farm and the New Forest Wildlife Park are in Ashurst, offering the opportunity to film in unique settings.
