Brockenhurst is a picturesque village with a wide variety of houses and cottages of different periods. It has a busy high street that ends in a ‘watersplash’ (ford) across the road. Free-roaming ponies, donkeys and sometimes even pigs wander through the village.

Brockenhurst

A small but busy traditional high street where you will often find ponies and donkeys wandering through and drinking from the locally known watersplash at the bottom of the high street.

Brockenhurst College

Brockenhurst College Brockenhurst College is set in a 35-acre campus near the centre of the New Forest National Park with large open spaces, both indoor and outdoor. Onsite facilities include a café, restaurant, nursery, theatre and hall as well as a range of sports facilities including a gym, sports hall, three floodlit all-weather courts and very large field.

With a long entrance driveway this could be used as a double for an American university campus.

Forest Park Hotel

Forest Park Hotel Historic luxury hotel once a rectory and used as the general hospital in the First World War for troops from India and New Zealand. Also hosted dinner for Theodore Roosevelt . Very central to Brockenhurst village.

Tilefield Equestrian Centre

Tilefield EquestrianTilefield is a purpose built equestrian training centre with a large training room with lovely views over the New Forest plus a large indoor and outdoor arena.

The centre has a kitchen and reception area plus benefits from toilets and a shower.

Balmer Lawn Hotel

Balmer Lawn HotelOriginally built in the mid 1800's as a hunting lodge, the Balmer Lawn is a classic Country House Hotel.

The Balmer Lawn Hotel has 54 bedrooms individually decorated. The hotel has a spa with 6 treatment rooms, Beresfords Restaurant which was awarded 2 AA Rosette for fine dining, leisure facilities including indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, squash courts and fully equipped gym.

Parking

Parking in the New Forest District Council owned car park which has public toilets.

There is no room for coaches and/or lorries, but there is potential to use the nearby college for parking.
