High Street:

Beaulieu high streetAn idyllic 16th-century village high street where the donkeys and New Forest ponies roam freely. There are charming boutique shops and galleries adorning the little cobbled high street which overlooks Beaulieu River.

From the high street, there is a beautiful walk through the woodland and riverside that takes you to Buckler’s Hard where the scenery echoes a ‘Wind in the Willows’ feel.

Beaulieu River and marina

Location DoublesThe Beaulieu River is one of the few privately owned rivers in the world and has been under the custodianship of the Montagu family for over four centuries.

Centrally located on the Solent, the Beaulieu River forms the south eastern edge of the Beaulieu Estate. Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour offers 115 berths, over 300 moorings and a boat park with slipway.

The river benefits from a double tide, and a secondary high water. The flood tide takes six hours coming in; then, after a gentle fall, there is a second high tide some two hours later followed by a period of slack water for about an hour. Then the ebb sets in, and low water is reached in just two and a half hours

The river has doubled as Miami river in The Infiltrator and also featured in Howards Way and A Man For All Seasons.

National Motor Museum

Part of the Beaulieu Estate, the National Motor Museum has a wide array of historic and famous cars, a monorail, the historic Palace House, Beaulieu Abbey and stunning gardens.
