2020 Film Festival
New Forest Film Festival will be back in 2020!
Following the success of this year's recent event, a nine day celebration of films with a New Forest connection which saw a total of 46 events held across the district in 15 venues, and included the area's first ever Comic Con at Brockenhurst College, quizzes with a movie theme, workshops, Q&As hosted by local film makers, and short-film competitions. The Film:New Forest steering group committee agreed to produce a sequel.
Cllr Michael Harris, Cabinet member at New Forest District Council has supported Film:New Forest since it started in 2016 and said of the 2019 Festival, "Over 3,000 people took part in one or more of the events during the festival. As well as supporting the amazing local talent we have here, we estimate this activity brought with it a £15,000 boost to the New Forest economy."
The date for the 2020 film festival is Saturday 19 September - Sunday 27th September 2020 so get the dates in your diary and keep an eye on the website for updates.
The launch of the film festival will take place during the upcoming Crew Networking evening on Thursday 19 September taking place at Incuhive, New Milton.
